Selena Gomez – Lupus

Lupus is another very rare autoimmune disease, where one’s immune system becomes hyperactive while attacking healthy tissues. Famous American singer and actress Selena Gomez was diagnosed with this disease in 2015. At the time, people had speculated that because of her weight loss, she might have been fighting an addiction that warranted a stay in a luxury drug rehab. In reality, she had been battling lupus. Selena needed a kidney transplant, which she got a couple of months ago, with her best friend acting as the donor.
